The TVR is a hand-built sports car which was built in Blackpool, England. The name comes from the consonants in the first name of the founder Trevor Wilkinson. The small Blackpool-based company got busy constructing lightweight race specials with tube chassis & fiberglass bodies. The TVR is a wonderful driving GT Grand Tourer. It is significantly lighter than its competitors such as the MG MGB GT & in turn was able to provide top performance & fuel economy. The 2500M was by far the most successful model. This example was recently entirely restored all the way down to every nut & bolt. It features a powerful V8 Rover 4.0L which got its British debut in 1967. As well as appearing in Rover cars, the engine was sold by Rover to small car builders & has been in a wide variety of vehicles. This example was stamped with a production date of February 1974.
