Here we have a 1985 Lamborghini Jalpa. The interesting name Jalpa comes from a famous breed of Spanish fighting bulls & it debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 1981 as an alternative to the Countach. The Jalpa was based on the Lamborghini Silhouette sharing many of its styling cues & was eventually more successful. The Jalpa is powered by an enlarged version from 3.0L to 3.5L of the Urraco V8 engine allowing it to produce more power. It was designed by the Italian designer Carrozzeria Bertone. It was produced from 1981 to 1988 & roughly 415 have been built. This Jalpa was reportedly was sold new in New Jersey, USA & then exported to the Netherlands where it spent a considerable amount of time before being imported to Canada in 2022. It was said to have been repainted once before in 2015 under previous ownership & underwent a service in 2017 amounting to 8000 Euros; receipt is in the "Extra" gallery. The Acapulco paint colour is considered to be a rare specification and this example is said to be 1 of only 13 paired with the Crema interior. It features a removable targa top along with a large wing, air inlets & a front splitter on the exterior. The Jalpa is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.5L V8 engine featuring dual overhead camshafts & 4 twin-barrel Weber carburetors which features a twin cam system spinning the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission.
