Here we have a beautiful 1967 Peugeot 404 Cabriolet 4-Speed. The 404 was produced during the golden era of Peugeot & designed by Pininfarina. The 404 Cabriolet came about as a refined & sport-centred version of the sedan. In 1960 the 404 debuted as a sedan while the cabriolet emerged in 1961 at the Paris Motor Show. It features steel coachwork from Pininfarina’s Grugliasco factory. The suspension includes an independent front setup with coil springs & hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers, paired with a rear rigid axle featuring semi-elliptical leaf springs and telescopic shock absorbers. In regards to braking power, it has front discs & rear drums, while a rack-and-pinion system handles the steering.
This 404 Cabriolet has bi-color front indicators, side markers, dual side mirrors, chrome accents on the grille, front fenders, doors & top of the quarter panels. It was reportedly refurbished in the past, including refinished silver paint over a Cognac XO interior. The vehicle was reportedly serviced in preparation for the sale, including a brake service & tune-up. All is said to be in working order except for the fuel gauge.
