Here we have a 997 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S 6-Speed manual. Porsche released the 997-generation for the 2005 model year. It featured a more powerful engine than the 996 generation, oval headlights & a redesigned interior. Engineers made the front & rear tracks wider for better stability while interior designers paid more attention to the build quality. The end result for the 997 was a more refined 911 that remained true to its badge. The 997 generation flaunts classic Porsche styling, excellent performance & a nice interior.
This 997 911 Carrera S 6-Speed spent most of its life in the Texas, USA before it was exported to British Coumbia, Canada in November 2006. It switched hands a couple more times & spent time in Alberta. The seller in Quebec acquired it in August of 2023 & has added roughly 1,988 miles / 3,200 km to the odometer since. The 997's weren't immune to IMS-related issues & this example is no exception. The seller spent $20,000 cad on the engine which is now like-new with all new parts; a receipt for this is included in the gallery. This is a serious plus adding extra layers of peace of mind for a buyer, in addition to the options & clean CarFax that accompanies this 911. It has sport chrono package plus which adds adjustable dampers, sport exhaust & dash-mounted stopwatch. It also features Porsche ceramic composite brake (PCCB) with yellow brake calipers & a super cool authentic GT3 wing.
It is powered by a 3.8L M97 flat-6 featuring dry-sump lubrication spinning the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. It now shows 81,388 miles / 130,982 km on the odometer.
