Here we have a 1929 Ford Model A Coupe Roadster with the rare Rumble seats. This example was imported from Oregon, USA in 2022 by the current owner & is now registered in Alberta. It was in heated storage for 15 years under prior ownership in the United States and has been in heated storage under current ownership since it was brought over. It has been fully restored down to every nut & bolt under the previous ownership. It has been repainted in navy blue with black with black fenders & wheels. In just 6 years this car will be 100 years old. The engine is completely stock with the 6 volt system, it reportedly runs & drives great. This is an already very rare trim of the Model A in a rare excellent condition. Looking into the engine number we can find that the car was made on August 15, 1929. Also known as the A-Bone, the Model A was Ford's next big success after the original Model T. The Model A was the 1st Ford to use the standard set of driver controls with a conventional clutch & brake pedals, throttle and gearshift. These cars are very popularly modified into Hot Rods, but what we have here is an example that has been kept in its original nature as much as possible. It is powered by a 201ci water-cooled L-head inline-4. This engine provided 40 HP & reportedly had a top speed of 105 km/h. The transmission is a conventional unsynchronized 3-speed sliding-gear manual with a single speed reverse. The car shows 453 miles / 730 km on the odometer; TMU (total mileage unknown). - 3-speed sliding-mesh manual transmission - Navy Blue body & Black fenders over Blue leather interior - Fully functioning Rumble seat - Rear view mirror - Chrome center console - Bench seat - Black 4-spoke steering wheel - Barrel-style speedometer - Ammeter - Black folding top - 21" Black painted wire wheels - Rear mounted spare tire with cover - Mechanical drum brakes all around - Power: 40 HP - Curb Weight: ~2350 lbs
