🎥 WATCH: Here we have a video of the vehicle (copy/paste): https://youtu.be/bIIpNHD0wBY Here we have a very rare & highly desirable professionally restored 1970 TVR Vixen S2. It is 1 of 438 S2 models built. The TVR is a hand-built sports car which was built in Blackpool, England from 1967 until 1973. In those 6 years just 1029 examples were put together. It features a fibre glass body & tubular frame chassis. The TVR is a wonderful driving GT Grand Tourer. It is significantly lighter than its competitors such as the MG MGB GT & in turn was able to provide top performance & fuel economy. New to the S2 was the GRP bodywork was bolted on rather than bonded, the taillights came from a Ford Cortina Mk 2, it had a longer wheelbase chassis than the S1 (90 inches). This car is a serious eye-catcher. Extremely rare to see on the roads & even more rare to see it in such condition. This example was recently entirely restored all the way down to every nut & bolt. The engine was replaced with a more powerful 289ci Hi-Po V8 from Ford with a matching 4-speed manual transmission; which is very common with these period TVR's. The original engine was a Ford 1.6L crossflow Kent four coded #D805811 from the Cortina GT; it only produced 92 HP. Some original interior parts were given the proper treatment to look as new as they do today in the gallery. 78931 miles on the odometer. Sales prices for these Vixen S2's have been all over the place due to rarity & so many different trims built in 1 generation of models. Closing prices have gone all the way up to over $130,000 USD for the most perfect rarest example. - 4-speed manual transmission - Green over black leather interior - Moto-Lita steering wheel - Smiths instrumentation - 100 mph speedometer & 8k rpm tachometer - Amp, Temperature, Oil & Fuel gauges in center console - Wiper nob - Washer fluid nob - Air vent - Low-backed period bucket seats - Swivel windows - Dual exhaust - Recessed hood air intakes - Power assisted brakes - Power: Exact figures unknown - Curb Weight: ~ 1750 lbs
