Here we have a mint 2001 911 Turbo; the first year of the 996 generation. Presented in excellent condition this example has just sub 60,000 KM's on it currently. The redesigned 996 Turbo was unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show and immediately impressed Porsche fanatics. The water-cooled 3.6L Flat-6 Twin-Turbo it features was derived from the 1998 Le Mans winning 911 GT1 race car.
The selling party purchased this Porsche on August 12, 2014 from a Canadian friend & has put roughly 22,000 km's on the vehicle since. It has been serviced at Norden Porsche in Edmonton, AB since.
It was originally sold in the United States and spent some time there before entering Canada.
It is currently in heated storage. The car has been very rarely driven in the last 12 months. The photos are from the summer of 2021; however, it has not been driven since. Seller states the vehicle is in exact condition as the photos with no new changes.
This example presents itself in excellent condition throughout. From the clear headlamp lenses, the pristine condition of high wear parts such as the front spoiler, seat bolsters, to the door sill plate finish. The wheels, paint & glass are also in excellent condition.
It features revised styling & a wider more aggressive stance compared to the naturally aspirated 996 Carrera models. This included wider fenders, enhanced side air intakes, side-skirt extensions & revised fascias. The bodywork was also extensively revised to improve airflow to 3 radiators in the front of the vehicle & also to accommodate larger wheels.
