Extra options

Here we have a beautifully restored 1965 GMC K2500 in a very rare custom ordered specification. The K designation was used by GMC on 4x4 trucks. The GMC K was an upmarket version of the Chevrolet C/K & was the successor to the GMC Blue Chip Series. This 2500 is all original other than a Ford rear bumper & upgraded brakes. It underwent an entire rotisserie restoration roughly a decade ago under the previous ownership. A 3-year long full frame-off, every nut & bolt restoration was completed. The current owner purchased the truck in 2018 and has put only a few hundred miles on it due to simply having too many cars with limited space; also the reason for selling. The truck was repainted in its original shade of Glenwood Green (503). The interior in its entirety was re-upholstered under current ownership & completed in July 2023. This SUV is very rare due to it having the 305ci 5.0L Industrial V6 under the hood & being a 4WD variant. The 305ci was mainly dropped into the 1 ton variants of the 1st generation. The 4WD aspect of the truck was a luxury only available by way of custom dealer order. This vehicle when new was a custom dealer order to be factory approved by GMC, making it a very rare example of the 2500. The seller opted to upgrade the brakes for safety reasons. The brakes now utilize double diaphragms allowing them to amplify the force applied to the pedal, making it easier to apply the brakes & reduce the amount of force needed to stop the truck. The truck is powered by the 305ci 5.0L Industrial V6 60 degree engine which General Motors used in select vehicles from 1959-1974. It spins all 4 wheels through the 4-speed synchromesh manual transmission. Although the vehicle has been sitting for the majority of its recent life, it does reportedly start, run, drive, brake & work as expected in its entirety. It does make its way down to car shows at times gaining lots of popularity & is a reported blast to drive. TMU (Total Mileage Unknown).
