Here is the only first generation 2001 Audi S3 in Canada with a VR6 3.2L engine. The upgraded engine placed in this rare S3 is from the well known R32 MK4/5 part of Volkswagen's EA390 family. The engine has four valves per cylinder; 24 valves total & variable valve timing for both camshafts. This S3 was a Japan import in 2019. Since then it has undergone numerous upgrades all done by Strasse Autowerks Montreal. Upgrades include replacing the original 1.8L Inline-4 engine to the R32 3.2L V6 from the MK4/5. The engine has a United Motorsport tune & it also benefits from the R32's exhaust system with open & close valves. The suspension is now H&R provided & braking comes from the MK1 TTRS. The S3 is based on the A3 platform. It was first manufactured by the German automaker in 1996 & sold in Europe, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. The S3 was a higher performance model never officially sold here, so this is a rare opportunity to drive this Euro hot-hatch on North American roads.
