Here we have this striking Garnet Red (52) 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS Convertible with a white interior & roof. This is a matching numbers example equipped with the RS Rally Sport package (Z22) & the 350ci 4-Barrel 5.7L LM1 V8. Only 52 RS' were made in this colour & only 935 were imported into Canada for sale.
This 1st-generation Camaro is an American muscle car introduced by Chevrolet in the fall of 1966 for the 1967 model year. It drove on a brand-new RWD GM F-body platform & was available as a 2-door, 2+2 seat, hardtop & convertible. This 1st generation was sold 1967 through 1969. In 1969, the final year of the 1st generation the grille was redesigned with a heavier "V" cant * deeper inset headlights. New door skins, rear quarter panels & rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider & more aggressive look.
The Rally Sport (RS) was an appearance package includes a special black-painted grille with concealed headlights & headlight washers, fender striping, simulated rear fender louvers, front & rear wheel opening moldings, black body sill, RS emblems on grille, steering wheel & rear panel, Rally Sport front fender nameplates, bright accented taillights, back-up lights below rear bumper & a bright exterior trim.
This car comes with all the original documents. It was repainted in its original Garnet Red exterior colour, the interior was freshened up & re-upholstered. For sale by a reputable classic car dealer. It is not a private sale.
