Extra options
Here we have the desirable Euro-model 1987 Honda XL600V TransAlp. This is a very proper V-Twin trail bike that you can take long distances comfortably and travel on any terrain. Enough room to carry 2 people with luggage. The goal from Honda when putting out the TransAlp was to build something with dual-purpose; excellent as both a tourer & rugged off-roader. Overall, an accomplished road bike & with rugged capabilities. The TransAlp provides 8" of fork travel upfront & 7.5" in the rear, allowing for a lot of suspension travel capable of carrying 2 people with luggage and hitting a pothole without it affecting very much.
This TransAlp is the most sought after as it is a European model from 1987. These only came to North America in 1989-1991. The 2 years prior to coming to North America are the most desirable examples.
The engine is a 6-valve, 4-stroke, 52 degree V-twin, 583cc / 5.6 cu in.
