Here we have a stunning 1977 Chevrolet Corvette. The 3rd-generation C3 Corvette was a sports car produced for the model years 1968-1982. It came in both convertible & coupe with T-Tops. The C3 set new sales records for the Corvette. While the L48 wasn't as high-powered as the higher-performance L82 engine, it offered a good balance of everyday drivability & sufficient power. The 1977 model year saw the introduction of the newly redesigned rear window, which was now a single-piece frameless glass that replaced the previous split rear window. This contributed to improved visibility & modernized the rear-end design. The interior maintained the Corvette’s performance-oriented yet comfortable design, with bucket seats & a driver-focused dashboard. The C3 Corvette has a stiff suspension that gave it a great handling feel on the road, with an independent rear suspension that helped it provide a stable, comfortable ride for a performance car. It was a proper balance of comfort & control, especially for those who liked the open-road feel of a classic Corvette.
The selling party acquired this Corvette in 2024 from the US. Work in preparation for the sale consisted of replacing headlight-actuation components & the right-side window regulator. A brand new driver side mirror is included with the vehicle. Per the “19” code on the trim tag, this C3 was originally painted black. The previous owner had the car repainted red reportedly not too long ago as the finish appears to be in good condition with not a chip on it. The original interior is said to be in good condition as well with moderate wear on the driver seat. All is said to be in proper working order. There are reportedly no issues with the steering, suspension, powertrain or brake systems.
It is powered by the reported original L48 350ci OHV V8 with a quadrajet carburetor spinning the rear wheels through a 3-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The car currently shows 2053 miles / 3304 km on the odometer; TMU Total mileage unknown. A recent inspection & service invoice is included in the "EXTRA" gallery.
