Here we have a striking 1965 Ford Mustang convertible available in a beautiful factory colour combination. The interior of this Mustang was upgraded to the deluxe "Pony" interior. Only 5338 Mustangs assembled in 1965 had the deluxe "Pone" interior upgrade. With this upgrade came integral armrests, rounded gauges, sun visors & floor console. It is a numbers matching example as well! It is equipped with a 1-barrel carburetor & powered by its original 3.3L "Thriftpower" Inline-6 cylinder engine. It spins the rear wheels thanks to a 3-speed automatic transmission. It shows just 38,866 miles on it. During this time the new compact muscle cars were getting started & this 1st generation Mustang was a part of the new wave. On just the 1st day of its market release, 22,000 orders were made for this T5 Mustang.
