Extra options

Here we have the uber rare 1992 Autozam AZ-1. This micro machine is a 2-seat, right-hand-drive Kei coupe that was imported to Ontario, Canada from Japan in 2007 by a previous owner. The AZ-1 was built by Mazda subsidiary Autozam from 1992-1995. One of the coolest features of this little car is the gullwing doors. It also features a unique non-centered hood scoop, inset sliding windows & straked radiator inlets. Although these Kei cars are not meant to be the quickest cars on the road, they weigh very little & are super fun to drive. The AZ-1 is also the quickest of most Kei cars including the Daihatsu Copen, Suzuki Alto Works, Suzuki Cappuccino & Mitsubishi Minica Dangan. They are known as Japanese city-cars & the smallest road-legal cars with restricted dimensions and engine capacity. This AZ-1 was originally Classic Red with gray lower body cladding before being painted to yellow in full with no more lower cladding. It features gullwing doors, a rear wing, air conditioning, aftermarket gauges & more below. The seller acquired this AZ-1 in November 2019 adding roughly 6,000 km to the odometer since. The vehicle has received regular oil changes & recently underwent a brake service. It was reportedly inspected very recently & will be sold safetied with a valid ownership; ready to go! The vehicle is reportedly in excellent shape & all electronics are in working condition other than the water temperature aftermarket gauge functioning when it wants to. The car is powered by a rear-mounted turbocharged 657cc Suzuki F6A inline-3 spinning the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. There are maybe 8-10 of these in the country at the moment with this one likely being the only yellow example. It is also the only AZ-1 currently for sale by auction exclusively; bid to win! - 5-speed manual transaxle - Yellow over black leather interior - Air Conditioning - Topless flat-bottom 3-spoke Autozam x MOMO alcantara steering wheel - White gauges - Pioneer head unit - Bluetooth - Yellow shifter - Autozam AZ-1-branded door sills - Dual side-view mirrors - Rear wing - Discs at all 4 corners - 13" 5-spoke wheels - 165/45 R13 Toyo Proxes Gauges: - 140-km/h speedometer - 9k-rpm redline tachometer - Fuel level - Coolant temperature Aftermarket gauges in center stack: - Turbo boost - Water temperature (works intermittently) - Battery volts - Power: 63 HP & 63 Lb-Ft of Torque - Curb Weight: 1587 lbs

Issues/Flaws

- Rear trunk paint patch-up; unknown when - Small holes in deck-lid from the previous spoiler which are currently capped. There used to be a Toyota Supra spoiler on it which the seller removed due to it not sitting pretty on this AZ-1.

Modifications & included equipment

- Rear spoiler - Topless flat-bottom 3-spoke Autozam x MOMO alcantara steering wheel - Seats have been re-covered in black leather with yellow trim; reportedly very comfortable - Pioneer head unit with 2 speakers; installed under current ownership - Upgraded air intake - Aftermarket gauges: turbo boost, water temperature (works intermittently) & battery volts - 2nd Mazda steering wheel included - Original Autozam wheels included on older Bridgestone Potenza tires - Roof shades; commonly lost but included here! - Rear cabin-mounted spare wheel - Japanese front plate
