Extra options

Here we have a very special pre-war survivor in the form of a 1935 Rolls-Royce 20/25. The Rolls-Royce 20/25 was the 2nd of the brands pre-war entry level models. It was produced between 1929 & 1936 & was extremely popular. It quickly became the most successful selling inter-war Rolls-Royce. Its success allowed Rolls-Royce to survive the economic difficulties of the Great Depression years & also remain one of the world's top brands. A total of 3,827 20/25s were produced in those 7 years. The 20/25 was the successor of the highly successful Rolls-Royce Twenty introduced in 1922. The goal for this new model was to increase power & performance. They were able to do this by increasing the bore size from 3 to 3.25 inches. At the time, Rolls-Royce only sold the chassis, engine & grill. The buyer had to decide to give it to a coach building company to customize the body. This one was given to the Coach Builders at Park Ward. It was given an all original 2 door coupe build. Very rare on this example; a new head. The head is the mechanical control center of the engine therefore with a new one in place & the engine being rebuilt, this beautiful Rolls can now be driven with confidence. The coupe is very rare as majority were built as sedans. Roughly 70% of the 3827 20/25's produced are still on the road today. They are relatively easy to maintain for anyone with general automotive experience & basic parts are still readily available. For many, part of the joy of owning a 20/25 is maintaining one. The Rolls-Royce car clubs sponsor popular on-line forums & regular in-person meetings for members to help each other on all type of repairs & restorations. There is always a member ready to help a fellow enthusiast by sharing their experience. The engine number for this example is X24C. It is a 6-cylinder 3669cc. The engine was rebuilt & currently has 7000 miles on it with a new head fitted as well. It is capable of cruising at highway speeds at ease. - 4-speed manual - Baby Blue paint over baby blue leather interior - Spirit of Ecstacy - 4-spoke steering wheel - Sunroof - 19" paint matching wheels with Excelsior radial tires - Spare wheel mounted to the passenger side skirt - Worm & nut steering - 18-gallon gas tank - Right hand steering - Wood trim - Rear bench - Lap belts - Crank windows - Power: 25.4 HP
