Here we have the R170 Mercedes-Benz SLK230 Kompressor in its vibrant Yellowstone paint. This car is now for sale by its longtime owner of 14 years. It is said to have been garage kept in the winter & enjoyed in the summer with the body-coloured hardtop down. It is accompanied by a clean CarFax report showing no accidents or claims with presence in Ontario & Quebec. The vehicle has reportedly been a charm for many years not requiring major services, just regular maintenance. This SLK was specced with a sports car in mind with its Yellowstone paint, black interior & carbon style trim. It also features a classic wired phone in the armrest storage compartment.
The SLK230 debut in 1997 as the 1st generation R170 until its end in 2004. Then came the 2nd R171 & 3rd R172 generations, ultimately ending in 2020. The R170 was marketed as a compact executive roadster by Mercedes-Benz. The SLK was first designed in 1991 by Bruno Sacco before being approved by Mercedes-Benz in 1993. It was then revealed to the public in 1996 at the Turin motor show. It is powered by the 2.3L supercharged M111.973 inline-4 engine spinning the rear wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission. The photos in the gallery taken outdoors are from spring 2024 while the photos taken indoors are new (December 19, 2024).
