Here we have an excellent example of the iconic 1st-generation 1967 Ford Mustang providing power, reliability & a mean exhaust note among other things. This Mustang is an original US delivered example that was assembled in April 1967 at the Metuchen, New Jersey plant. It was shipped & sold in Georgia before ending up on the West Coast in Washington State. It was then sold & imported into Canada in 2006-2007 by a dealer in Laval, QC. It was originally Candy Apple Red (T) over Red standard interior (2D). In the late 1980's - early 90's it was reportedly restored & repainted. During this time, the original C-Code 289ci 2-barrel 4.7L V8 engine was replaced with a more powerful F-Code 302ci 2-barrel 4.9L V8 & was repainted in a very dark blue. The interior was also stripped & re-upholstered in black as it is seen today. 2007 is when the seller took ownership of this Mustang. At the time of purchase, he opted to rebuild & upgrade the engine from the carburetors down to the oil pan. The engine was upgraded with a 4-barrel Holley Carburetor, an MSD ignition system & many replaced parts. A MagnaFlow stainless steel exhaust system with open & closed valves at the touch of a button and ceramic-coated headers was installed. The interior was re-upholstered with additions such as a (removable if desired) roll-bar & G-Force Racing Gear roof-mounted seatbelts for all occupants. New Autometer Gauges were put in. The suspension & differential was entirely re-done. It was then re-painted in Vista Blue Metallic (G9/M7147A); a colour used by Ford on some models. The seller is aware of 1 known accident with the vehicle; the passenger side quarter panel was hit prior to 2007 under previous ownership & showed some residual damage at the time of purchase in 2007. During this time the seller replaced the quarter panel and the car currently does not have any residual effects from this incident. This vehicle is not your Concours example but a real driver that starts up every time & can reportedly be reliably driven on road trips. The car now shows just 8775 miles / 14,120 km on the digital odometer, the seller put roughly 15,000 km before the odometer was changed for a total of roughly 30,000 km since the rebuild; TMU (Total Mileage Unknown). The 1st-generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by Ford from March 1964-1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobiles known as the pony cars. The Mustang's styling was extremely popular & was the cause of all the competition that arose shortly after. With every update, the Mustang saw an increase in overall dimensions & engine power. The 1967 model year was the 1st significant facelift of the original model; the new dimensions allowed for a big-block V8 to squeeze under the hood, exterior trim changes included concave taillights, side scoops & chrome side ornamentations. In 1969 the Mustang received its more muscular body & in 1971 the Mustang saw its 1st major update. - 3-speed C4 automatic transmission - Vista Blue Metallic (G9/M7147A) over black leather interior - Bucket seats - 3-spoke wooden steering wheel - 2 cupholders - Swivel windows - Black Mustang carpets - Digital Autometer odometer - Double 5-volt USB inputs - 12V power socket - JVC AM/FM radio deck - Sirius XM - Bluetooth - Polk Audio; 1000 watts - Double hood scoops - 15" 5-spoke black wheels - 215/65 R15 95S M+S BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires - Power: Approx. 230 HP & 310 Lb-Ft of Torque - Curb Weight: Approx. 2900 lbs
