Here we have a 1982 Citroën Acadiane 4-speed. The Acadiane was manufactured from 1977 to 1987. It replaced the respected 2CV Fourgonette as the French brand’s premier compact utility vehicle. This Acadiane was based on the Dyane family car, revised with a heavy-duty suspension, a reliable 602cc flat-2 engine, a 4-speed manual gearbox & an 1,100 lb. payload capacity. The Citroën Acadiane van features an elongated rear cargo area with a high roofline, rigid corrugated bodywork, square windows & split vertical barn doors.
This example was originally delivered in Mexico before being imported to New Brunswick, Canada. It has resided in Quebec for the last 20 years. It reportedly wears new Michelin tires & the exterior is believed to have been refinished under prior ownership due to its visibly good condition.
It is powered by a 602cc flat-2 engine spinning the front wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. This engine is said to provide a comfortable cruising speed of 55 mph / 88 km/h. It shows 27,280 miles / 43,902 km on the odometer; TMU Total Mileage Unknown.
