Extra options

Here we have a striking Yellow 454-Powered 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Sport Coupe with unique purple accented trim. The current owner purchased this Chevelle out of British Columbia in 2022 where it spent 20 years with its previous owner. It was purchased with approximately 1300 miles on the odometer & the seller has added roughly 800 miles / 1288 km since (TMU; Total Mileage Unknown). The vehicle is now Ontario certified & ready for its new owner. Under current ownership the seller has added Procar bucket seats with 3-point seat belts, a new period correct tires, a new battery & a B&M floor-mounted shifter. The door handles & trunk lock were shaved off so you might ask how to get in the vehicle? The seller has added a keyless key fob, click & the door will pop open automatically. This Chevelle is said to have no rust or cracks in the frame, it is structurally sound & straight. In 2018 under prior ownership it reportedly underwent a complete frame-off restoration where a built 454ci V8 Big Block was fitted brand new from the crate, it was repainted in Yellow while some of the trim & underside was painted purple along with purple carpeting. This is THE classic muscle car for a Laker fan. At the same time the quarter panels, wheel wells & floors were replaced. “SS454” badging was added & the exterior trim was re-chromed. During the restoration the frame was reportedly stripped, sandblasted & every individual piece was epoxy primed, primed & base cleared. Reported that lots of new parts & equipment were placed with no expense sparred. The 454ci V8 Big Block crate engine under the hood is equipped with an 850 Holley 4-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake manifold, chrome valve covers & tubular headers. The engine was reportedly built with Keith Black dome top pistons & the wiring harness is also said to have been replaced at the time of the install. It is also fitted with a semi-aggressive cam, 2500-rpm stall converter, a TH400 automatic built to handle 1200 HP, a 4-core aluminum radiator, billet aluminum pulleys & exhaust modifications listed below. A purple-finished radiator support, hood hinges & other trim has been added to the engine bay along with the rear axle, front suspension components, frame & other underside components. The Chevelle is a mid-sized vehicle produced by Chevrolet spanning 3 generations from 1964 through 1978. It is part of the General Motors A-body platform. The Chevelle was 1 of Chevrolet's most successful nameplates & is still a highly desirable and sought after classic muscle car in todays time. This Chevelle being a 1971 is part of the 2nd-generation which was produced from 1968-1972. In 1970 the Chevelle received its mid-generation facelift where it added its more aggressive front fascia & roofline styling. In 1971 it was treated to new front & rear-end styling along with other updates. When reading the VIN, it tells us that the car was initially an 8-Cylinder Sport Coupe assembled in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. - 3-speed TH400 Automatic transmission with a 2,500-rpm stall torque converter - Yellow over black leather interior - Delco push-button AM radio - Procar bucket seats - 3-point front seat belts - 3-spoke steering wheel - Heater - B&M shifter - Purple carpeting - Power steering - Power-assisted front disc brakes - Purple calipers & purple finished rear drums - Front sway bar - Stainless-steel dual exhaust - 15″ Ridler 5-spoke wheels - Front: 225/60 R15 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires - Rear: 275/60 R15 BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires Gauges: - 120-mph speedometer - Tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline - Analog clock - Amperage - Fuel level - Coolant temperature - Power: Dyno tested at 505 HP & 670 Lb-Ft of Torque - Curb Weight: Approx. 3400 lbs
