Extra options

Here we have a striking 1993 Volkswagen Corrado VR6 5-Speed in a fresh & rare Jasmin Yellow finish. The Corrado is a 2+2 hot-hatch manufactured by Karmann, which this example has a center-console badge for. It was launched in 1990 & Volkswagen marketed it as its "1st full-blooded sports car". It replaced the Scirocco, though positioned further towards the performance end of the spectrum with a supercharged inline-4 or in this case, a larger, naturally-aspirated V6. Production of the Corrado ended in 1994 for North America. The body shell was partially zinc plated & galvanized, providing strong rust protection. This example presents a well-kept driver that does not show its mileage. The seller acquired this Corrado in 2021 when it had roughly 119,300 miles / 192,000 km on the odometer. Under previous ownership its factory 2.8L VR6 was reportedly rebuilt & bored out to 2.9L. In 2021 the seller had it repainted in its original Jasmin Yellow which intentionally has a little more yellow pigment for the colour to "pop" more. In 2023 it was reportedly treated to a new OEM clutch & transmission, front & rear tower strut braces and a cold air intake. The seller also opted to add Bilstein PSS9 adjustable coilovers & Porsche Turbo-Twist wheels which look fantastic on it. Moving to the interior, it is all original other than the addition of the Kenwood head unit & speakers. It features a speed-activated rear spoiler which raises automatically when the car exceeds 100 km/h, heated front sport seats, center stack gauges, power features & the swivel headlights option. This Corrado is also a factory sunroof delete example, as the large majority of them have a sunroof as standard; another way this example stands out. It is powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.9L VR6 engine that utilizes a single cylinder head spinning the front wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. All is said to be in working order & nothing short of an amazing driver. The power figures listed below have likely increased due to the larger displacement. - 5-speed manual transaxle - Jasmin Yellow (K1D) over black leather interior - Power windows, mirrors & locks - Heated mirrors - Cruise control - A/C - VDO instrumentation - Kenwood AM/FM radio with bluetooth & USB input - 4-spoke steering wheel - Heated front sport seats - Gauges for voltage & oil pressure housed in the center stack - Center-console Karmann badge - Speed-Activated Rear Spoiler - Split-folding rear bench seat - Rear-window wiper - Fog lights - 4-wheel anti-lock discs - 17" Porsche Turbo-Twist wheels - 205/40 ZR17 84W Imperial EcoSport tires - Power: 178 HP & 177 Lb-Ft of Torque - Curb Weight: ~ 2800 lbs
