Here we have a 1980 Volvo 262C Bertone. The luxury coupe 262C replaced the P1800 & roughly 6,600 were produced during a 4-year stint from 1977 to 1981. It was designed in-house by Volvo & mainly built by Bertone in Turin, Italy. The 262C was penned by Jans Wilsgaard, while the roof pillars, roof pan, windshield surround, cowl & upper parts of the doors were built by Bertone. The roof is roughly 10 cm lower than that of the sedans.
This 262C Bertone is presented in a classy black over tan interior & looks to be in nice condition. The 262C features a tuned suspension with MacPherson struts in the front & a live rear axle. It also boasts power-assisted steering & disc brakes on all 4 wheels. It also has advanced safety features for its time including crumple zones, reinforced door beams & head restraints on all seats. The seller states it recently received ceramic coating & all is in proper functioning condition.
It is powered by a Peugeot-Renault-Volvo (PRV) fuel-injected 2.8L V6 engine spinning the rear wheels through a 3-speed automatic transmission. The car currently shows 80,807 miles / 130,047 km on the odometer.
