Extra options

Here we have a very rare edition of the Bentley Brooklands, the '97 Trophy Edition. There were only 28 of these special editions ever made worldwide for the final year of production of the original 4-door Brooklands sedan. All 28 were sent to the North American market. This puts it in the extremely rare luxury collector car category. It makes a statement on the road due to its size, colours; especially interior & level of luxury. So much so that Sir Elton John had one himself. The Trophy Edition took as long as 10 months each to build from start to finish. The quality of the car can be acknowledged from any point, all the way from the chrome stainless trim on the exterior to the leather headliner inside. The steering wheel took a full week alone to complete. The Trophy Editions were made to honour the 75th anniversary of Bentley's first team participation in the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy (TT) race & their success in the 1922 Tourist Trophy races at the US Indianapolis 500 Speedways in which they won the Team Prize. The Brooklands was named for the British racing circuit where Bentley built its competition pedigree in the early 20th century. The Brooklands Trophy Edition features the extraordinary light pressure turbo Bentley 6.75L V8 engine. It is a smooth & quiet unit that delivers strong acceleration when asked for by the pilot. This model carries many of the Turbo R's distinctive features: color keyed radiator grill vanes, 2-tone colour seating hides, more extensive wood veneer & chrome 5-spoke wheels. The 1997 Brooklands also gained a number of options in its final year; it had 2" more headroom, the first tilt steering column in any Bentley car & most importantly a low-pressure turbocharger. This is an original paint car & the quality of the paintwork on a Bentley of this era is unmatched by anything other than a Rolls-Royce. This special edition features unique options that include: • Chrome-plated 5-spoke 17-inch wheels with green center badges • Color-keyed exterior mirrors & cheater panels • Color-keyed headlamp surrounds • Color-keyed radiator vanes • Color-keyed steering wheel rim • Commemorative “Trophy Edition” plaques on both front-door sill plates • Green enameled badges • Triple coach lines (pinstriping) • A pair of Bentley golf umbrellas mounted in the luggage compartment lid. • Two-tone Turbo R SE style seats with Bentley wings embroidered on the headrests • Wrap-around door trim with walnut crossbanding to the lower edges - 4-speed automatic transmission - Burgundy (9540014) over black & burgundy leather interior with Burl Wood trim (FG-PAC3726) - Power everything - Cruise control - Heated front seats with memory - Automatic climate control - 6-disc CD changer - Wool carpets - Analog clock - Gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level & amperage mounted in the center dashboard - 2-tone leather wrapped 4-spoke steering wheel - Bright chrome window trim, mirrors & door handles - Headlight washers - Power antenna - 255/55 R17 104V Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires - Power: 300 HP & 442 Lb-Ft of Torque - Curb Weight: 5357 lbs
