Here we have a RHD MK VII 1998 Rover Mini Cooper 4-speed presented in the iconic Red with white roof. The MINI is a small 2-door 4-seat car produced by the British Motor Corporation from 1959 to 2000. In 1999 the Mini was voted the 2nd-most influential car of the 20th century, behind the Ford Model T & ahead of the Citroën DS and Volkswagen Beetle. It features a space-saving transverse engine & front-wheel drive layout to allow for 80% of the area of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers & luggage. From 1959 to 2000 the MINI spanned 7 generations from the MK I to the MK VII before its acquisition by BMW. The MK VII was the final version of the Rover Mini, produced from 1996-2000. This generation saw the introduction of the airbag on the driver side.
The seller acquired this Mini in the summer of 2024. It was imported from Japan & is said to be rust-free. It was lightly modified to resemble the Mini from the '60's, meant to be a Cooper S tribute. It was said to be re-painted under previous ownership in Japan. The interior features seat covers that blend right in. The seller completed a full service & added brand new tires in preparation for the sale. The seller would like to note that the vehicle is not a show car but an excellent driver that needs nothing.
The car is powered by a 1275-cc Inline-4 engine spinning the front wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. It now shows 41,953 miles / 67,517 KM on the odometer & is said to be the original mileage. Please watch all the videos for a detailed view into the condition of this Mini.
