Here we have a 1970 Citroën Dyane 6 that has already gone under the knife & looks fantastic. The Dyane 6 was a development of the iconic 2CV. It was produced from 1967-1983 as a 5-door hatchback family car powered by an air-cooled flat-2 engine. The Dyane's design was subcontracted to the Panhard company & extensively reworked by Robert Opron before its debut. Compared to the 2CV, the Dyane featured almost entirely new body panels including a prominent hatchback door & front fenders with integrated fog lights. The version we have here is a Dyane 6 which is equipped with the larger 602cc engine, a 4-speed manual transmission, inboard-mounted rear brakes & an independent front-to-rear interconnected suspension. This Dyane 6 was originally sold in the U.S. & was imported to Canada upon the current owner’s purchase in 2019. It was reportedly entirely restored under current ownership. The exterior was repainted in light blue & it was fitted with a new retractable cloth soft top. The interior was reupholstered now featuring new cloth seats. The engine is said to have been completely rebuilt including new pistons, connecting rods & valves. The clutch & transmission were also said to be refurbished, all said to have been completed in the last 100 miles. It is powered by an air-cooled 602cc M4 flat-2 engine spinning the front wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. It now shows 39,641 miles / 63,796 km on the 5-digit odometer; TMU Total Mileage Unknown.
